Cleaning: Keeping your Piccolo clean is simple.
Here are some handy tips:

  1. Before the first use only: Fingerprints on the stainless-steel chimney, rear door, and front door due to installation can be removed with a standard multipurpose spray cleaner.
  2. To clean the viewing glass of the oven door, you can use a cleaning product for kitchen ovens. Make sure the oven is cooled down. Spray on the front door including the glass.  Wait a couple of minutes and wipe thoroughly.
Instead of the spray, you can also use a razor blade scraper to clean off the viewing glass.
  3. Clean the inside of the chimney once every 6 months to remove excess soot.
  4. You can clean the stainless-steel parts with a typical stainless steel cleaning product. Do not use products on the decorative outer panel (that is in brushed aluminium).
  5. If any food spills on the stone, before using the oven next time just turn the pizza stone upside down. Do this very carefully as slight impact on a hard surface may cause the stone to split when warming it up again.
  6. The stone will clean itself at temperatures above 450°C. Like a pyrolytic function.
